The Region: The Limestone Coast wine region is a recently defined viticultural area situated 300km South of Adelaide on the Limestone Coast. Its key attributes for producing distinctive quality fruit include an abundance of underground water, terra rossa soil over free-draining limestone and a cool Mediterranean climate. The region is renowed for producing elegant and complex wines typical of vineyards in cooler climates.
Winemaking: This classic blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc varieties is produced using gentle and meticulous winemaking techniques. A small portion of barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc adds structure and ageing potential to the blend.
Aroma: The nose shows hints of lemon, gooseberry and asparagus with a hint of herbaceousness.
Palate: The palate exhibits attractive savoury and mineral characters. This medium-bodied blend has crisp, dry finish showing great structure and depth.
Alcohol/Volume: 13.5%
